Milling an aluminum part with coolant at Production Automation Technology

Specialty CNC Machining

Complex, multi-axis, angled, tapped, long, knife-cut, and marked work — plus engineering and 3D modeling — from a Brooksville, FL shop built on decades of automation experience.

What we do

Angled drilling demo: screws set at many angles in one piece

Specialty CNC Machining

Angled holes, indexed patterns, long parts, panels, knife and wheel cutting, tapping, sawing, engraving, and part marking — work that goes beyond a basic hobby or sign router shop.

3D toolpaths programmed on a long wooden strut with angled end cuts

Engineering

You don’t need to know what the part should look like. Bring the problem — we design the mechanism and make all the parts, including fixtures, jigs, and adapters.

How engineering works →

Exploded CAD model of a layered plate assembly, with each layer in a different color

3D Modeling & Drawings

CAD models and drawings from sketches, samples, or descriptions — for review before material is cut, and for fixtures when the job needs them.

What specialty CNC covers

Processes and results — not a machine list. Materials are typically metals, plastics, wood, OSB and engineered subfloor sheathing, drywall, foam (including polyiso foam insulation), TPO roofing membrane, and composites.

  • Angled holes and features (4-axis milling and drilling)
  • Indexed hole patterns around a part (for example, holes at 120° spacing)
  • 4-axis mill-turning
  • Precision milling of metal and plastic parts
  • Drilled and tapped holes on part faces and edges
  • Rigid tapping of holes in steel and aluminum parts, including electrical panels and backplates
  • Sheet and panel cutting up to 5×10 ft
  • Long parts up to 18 ft (e.g. beams, LVLs, long extrusions)
  • Sawing and grooving
  • Tangential oscillating knife cutting (foam, gasket, rubber, flexible sheet)
  • Tangential wheel cutting (including TPO)
  • Cutting, laser engraving, and multi-color marking on the same machine, with engraving located to cut features within about 0.004"
  • Laser engraving on parts up to 18 ft long
  • Multi-color 3D printing: up to 16 colors on a single part
  • TIG and MIG welding of steel and aluminum, with TIG for detailed work on machined parts
  • Large-format simultaneous 5-axis coming online

How a job runs

1
Send a drawing, sketch, sample, photo, or description of the problem.
2
We model and engineer the work (and fixtures or mechanisms if needed).
3
We cut, tap, knife/wheel cut, mark, and inspect the parts.
4
Pickup or ship — then revisions or production quantities as you need.

Why work with ProAutoTech

  • Deep CNC and automation background — decades building automation and CNC equipment, now applied to making your parts and mechanisms.
  • Specialty processes in one shop — multi-axis work, long parts, panels, knife/wheel cutting, tapping, marking, 3D printing, and welding.
  • Large-format simultaneous 5-axis coming online.
  • Local shop accountability in Brooksville, Florida. We don’t travel to install equipment. We make parts here.
